SnapBack 5.10b Release Notes
The latest upgrade to SnapBack Exact is now available for download - SnapBack Exact, 5.10b.
5.10b can be downloaded via the Download area on our website, or at the bottom of your UAC home page after login. If you have an earlier version of SnapBack Exact installed simply close the SnapBack Client and run the 5.10b installer, this will upgrade the necessary files. After installation a reboot will be required.
Here is a comprehensive list of what has been updated / fixed for this release.
General Fixes and Enhancements
- Licensing key cannot erroneously generate a duplicate.
- Client splash screen on Client amended.
- Installation package will correctly request a shutdown after installing and uninstalling.
- The installation package will upgrade from 5.06 and automatically stop the service "Snapserver".
- Solved "Error loading Tapedisk code<998> " (see below for further notes on TapeDisk)
- Oracle 9 example scripts for stopping and starting Oracle are now available in the Samples folder (the samples folder can be found in the Server folder.) The scripts must be read in conjunction with the readme file found in the samples folder.
TapeDisk Known Issue.
In some instances, when a tape is mounted with a non-windows visible partition(s), for example a diagnostic partition, drive letters are automatically assigned overriding the ones that have been manually selected. To confirm which drives have been automatically assigned, please click on "My Computer".
