SnapBack Exact does not work with Dynamic Volumes under Windows 2000 and Windows 2003

Information

Dynamic Volumes are used when software striping or mirroring is being used on the server (note - this is not the same as hardware RAID - which is transparent to the operating system).

Solution

SnapBack do not intend to support Dynamic Volumes now or in the future, this is because we believe that redundancy should be hardware based to ensure reliability.

We believe that if redundancy is a concern then a hardware based redundancy solution is recommended over a software based redundancy solution such as the operating system's own Dynamic Volumes (Striping and Mirroring).
